Spanish Hacienda in San Marino
The courtyard design of this substantially re-built Hacienda invigorates actively livable space in the yard as well as easy flow to the interior. Casual forms and detailing of arches, vaults, and corbels create the relaxing and informal lifestyle typical of Spanish Hacienda designs of the locale. Tall and shapely, timbered or painted, ceilings give each room unique identities. A Wine Cellar and Game Room are pleasant thick walled surprises within. Walnut floors, antique Spanish doors, wrought iron, thick plastered walls, and simple wood detailing complete the picture of a classic San Marino house of the 1920’s and 30’s, 75 years later.
